It began with a dog who never asked for much, and a feeling we couldn’t shake.
The Name
Dusk is my favorite hour. I come home, hand on the door, and before it’s even open I hear it — thump thump thump. Tail against floor. Then the door swings wide and this black blur hits me, and it doesn’t matter what kind of day I had. She looks at me the exact same way she did yesterday and the day before that. Just a dog, happy you’re home.
I wanted a name that held that moment. The light fading outside, the sound of a tail on the floor, the feeling that everything is exactly where it’s supposed to be.
So: Vespera Tail.
What We Make
“We” is a stretch. It’s just me.
I source materials, design every piece, pack every order. Pearl supervises from her bed. She’s very good at it.
Three rules: Safe — dogs chew, lick, and yank, no cutting corners. Beautiful — you deserve to walk down the street feeling good too. Practical — dog walks are chaotic enough, your gear shouldn’t make them harder.
Your dog gives you a lifetime of loyalty on a twelve-year contract. Giving them something decent in return isn’t a splurge. It’s just fair.
This One’s For You
If you have a dog, we already know each other.
You know what 6 AM paw-to-the-face feels like. You know that black clothing is a losing battle during shedding season. You know that walking a dog in the rain means you’ll be wetter than the dog. And you definitely know the feeling of their head resting on your knee after a long day — the one that quietly says, you’re good. You’re enough. Everything else can wait.
We probably don’t need a formal introduction.
